We have two 15 min talks + questions:
Dr Daniele Cafolla: To “Beep” or not to “Beep”: Exploring Embodied AI when smart machines meet an unscripted world.
Prof Mike Fowler: BIOME: Living your best Biophilic life in the centre of Swansea
We will also have a discussion on funding and strategy with input from Dr Dimitrios Pletsas. Dimitiris has agreed to help guide our discussion by doing a dive into SU’s expertise profile relating to AI and ML in Environmental Research considering areas of strength that could align with recently announced UKRI domains and UK Government Industrial Strategy.
Environmental researchers, please share PG research titles if you are interested in collaborating with a Computer Science Masters project. Following previous discussions there was interest from both CARI and ZI colleagues to start developing collaborations through shared projects and this is a good way to foster this initiative.
