Overview of Event:
This workshop aims to bring together researchers working on environmental challenges with colleagues developing computational and AI-based approaches, to explore how our research questions and methods can productively inform one another. Whether you already work across disciplines or are simply curious about new collaborations, we’d love you to join us.
The format of the workshop will be:
• Invited talks from:
o Dr Kris Ions – TBC
o Dr Gary Tam – on his AI and computer vision research and how it may fit with applications addressing environmental challenges.
• Researcher speed-dating: short, focused conversations (5 minutes each) between “computer” and “environment” researchers to discuss challenges, ideas, and opportunities
• Feedback and open discussion to reflect on shared themes and future directions
The session is designed to be informal, interactive, and welcoming. Come along to listen, share, and potentially spark new collaborations. Please save the date, and we hope to see many of you there!
