Profile

I’m a EPSRC award funded PhD student at Swansea University, where I am working on in-situ detection of per-fluoro alkyl substances (PFAS) in water. This project is in collaboration with Welsh water. Currently, I am working on the detection of per-fluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) using a shape-selective recognition approach-Molecularly Imprinted Polymer (MIP). I won the Best Poster Award at the PGR Conference 2025 at Swansea University for my work in May 2025. I also won the Tony Harrington Academic Poster Award at Welsh Water Innovation Event in March 2025. I have expertise in different techniques for characterizing nanomaterials. I have done my master’s in Nanotechnology where I became an expert in the synthesis of different functionalized nanomaterials for diverse applications.

Area of Expertise

  • In-situ electrochemical detection of PFAS in water.
  • 3D-printed sensors for healthcare and food applications.
  • Nanomaterials for anti-microbial uses.
  • Synthesis anc characterization of functionalized nanomaterials.
